We have built our salon on the passion we have for hairdressing. And it works as Atherton Cox is one of London’s leading hair salons. Our aim is to share the knowledge we have accumulated over the last twenty years, with others in our industry. So, we’ve created the Atherton Cox Academy which allows hair stylists from around the world to enhance their skills in specific areas of hairdressing.

Using her vast experience, Kerry will discuss with the students her views on current male trends and, through live demonstrations, share her skills with freehand clipper work and facial hair. Students will then get the remainder of the morning session to try these for themselves on headblocks guided by Kerry. After lunch the afternoon continues with another practical workshop to complete all the tasks set. Kerry will then use her unique knowledge of the catwalk to take the class through a PowerPoint presentation of current trends seen at the latest catwalks shows. The day ends with presentation of certificates.
We are hoping to re-schedule dates for this course in 2022.

This is expected to be one of our most popular courses. It will be led by one of London’s most in-demand red carpet hair stylists, Cassandra Rizzuto. Her work is often seen on the pages of A list magazines where style and elegance is essential. The morning will include a theory session on hair types, face shapes and trends where classic styles will be explored. Cassandra will take pupils through the tools she uses before setting them loose to create waves, hair up styles, braids and curling techniques. The afternoon session is a full workshop of styles where Cassandra will give hands-on tuition to each person. The day ends with presentation of certificates.

This is a truly unique course presented by a truly unique hair stylist, Desmond Murray. Des is the 2018 Men’s Hairdresser of the Year and a regular in various hairdressing awards. He is also a top photographer. His course takes place in a professional studio where he will discuss styles and trends, make-up and product knowledge. His make-up artists will then demonstrate their skills before a demo on prep-work technique. Each student will be given a model and create two styles to be photographed by Des. Students will leave with their professional shots on a disc to use in their own promotional materials.
We are hoping to re-schedule dates for this course in 2022.
