Our story

If you’ve been to the flourishing corner of London that is Marylebone, you’ll know why we chose it for our base. Unpretentious, stylish with an eclectic mix of people and businesses, it’s a great example of modern-day London with a real neighbourhood feel.

After working in many other leading salons, Lisa Atherton and Paul Cox launched Atherton Cox in 2001. The vision then was to create a friendly and relaxed salon where everyone is welcome. And that same philosophy continues to drive us today as we expand our offering to include beauty, a blow dry bar and more.

Many of our customers have been with us since the start and this same sense of loyalty exists in our talented and award-winning team of stylists. And as we’ve grown, so has our staff numbers. We now have over 45 full-time employees within the salon and beauty offering a 7-day service covering all the latest hair trends and beauty treatments like facials and eyelashes.

Our awards

We’re proud of the work we do so we’re happy to be judged by our peers. We support many of our industry’s awards including the British Hairdressing Awards where we have been recognised many times. We have been a finalist in the London Salon of the Year and we are the current BHA Men’s Hairdresser of the Year.
